Does it hurt?When a needle is inserted it is often not felt at all or only as a slight pricking sensation. After a few seconds there is usually a dull ache or a tingling feeling which shows that the energy is being stimulated. This mostly wears off after a few minutes. As Acupuncture relaxes you, quite a lot of people go to sleep while the needles are in place.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on the type of problem it is and how long you have had it. Usually it is after 4 to 6 treatments when things start to improve. When a good improvement has been made, the treatments are progressively less frequent until just the occasional preventative treatment is needed.
